All three of them sat up in bed at the same time. In his haste, Lu Yi glanced at the clock—it was already the early hours of the last day.

“Come on, let’s see if they’ve woken up yet.” Li Xinran jumped out of bed and spoke to the other two. They nodded and together made their way to the room where Lu Ningyu and the others were staying.

Pushing open the door, they saw that the four inside were still deeply unconscious. “How could this happen?” Li Xinran was clearly anxious; she went over and shook Lu Ningyu.

But Lu Ningyu remained unresponsive. “Why is this happening? Didn’t we already shatter that dream?” Li Xinran asked, her face full of confusion.

“I’m afraid only we woke from the dream. The dream itself hasn’t actually been broken,” Xu Anxuan replied, her tone a bit cold.

“Anxuan, how can you say that? Is it because you’ve gained power, that your old friends no longer matter to you?” Li Xinran grew agitated.

“Xinran, since you want to save them, then you should go in. Lu Yi has already gained his power, and I awakened my gifted ability in the dream. Only you remain. “All right. I’ll go in.” After a brief hesitation, Li Xinran agreed at once.

“That’s the right spirit, Xinran,” Xu Anxuan said with a smile, and then both of them turned their gaze to Lu Yi.

Taking a deep breath, Lu Yi looked at Li Xinran. “Are you sure?”

Seeing her solemn nod, he said, “Very well. I’ll send you in. But I’ll set up an array outside. The moment you have five new wounds, or if you receive a wound in a fatal spot, I will pull you out immediately.”

With the decision made, Lu Yi promptly sent Li Xinran into the dream with Lu Ningyu and the others, then watched the array’s changes closely.

“Don’t worry, Li Xinran will be fine,” Xu Anxuan said beside him. “Don’t you think letting her go through this trial alone is actually good for her?”

Lu Yi nodded in agreement. Fifteen minutes passed quickly. By then, pain was already visible on Li Xinran’s face. Xu Anxuan hurriedly checked her physical state. “She’s in real danger now—”
