"Good person, good person. Here you go." Yuchan handed a box to Lu Yi, who then stacked it on top of the obstacles.

At this point, more than 50 minutes had passed since Lu Yi entered Liang Feisong's illusion. Using certain methods, Lu Yi had located the disoriented Liang Feisong within the illusion and awakened him. Subsequently, based on Liang Feisong's experience and the keeper's knowledge of mental power, Lu Yi successfully dispelled the illusions trapping Tan Weiwei and Deng Yuqi.

However, all three had been attacked by the keeper and had absorbed a significant amount of energy, so even after Lu Yi rescued them, they remained unconscious. Lu Yi had initially held high hopes for Tan Weiwei’s talent and intended to discuss forming a team with her once she woke up. Unfortunately, the Zhuifeng Team seemed to have a way to track Deng Yuqi; shortly after Lu Yi broke the illusions, Yuchan informed him that the Zhuifeng Team was closing in.

After a moment of thought, Lu Yi moved Tan Weiwei and Liang Feisong to a different location to avoid any misunderstandings, then left with Shen Yixue and Yuchan.

"Lu Yi, the sky is becoming increasingly eerie." Shen Yixue pulled Yuchan along as she walked to Lu Yi's side.

Lu Yi nodded. When they had first relocated, the sky was merely dark. But before long, bands of light resembling auroras appeared, and their number and colors multiplied. Now, beneath the black clouds, the entire sky was filled with multicolored ribbons of light.

As Shen Yixue and Lu Yi watched the sky, a sudden, unprovoked gust of wind kicked up, blowing fine dust into the air. At the same time, the light bands in the sky parted to reveal a gray vortex, within which lightning flickered. The moment the vortex appeared, the wind on the ground intensified significantly.

Just as some people were struggling to stay on their feet, the wind suddenly stopped. A heavy, suffocating silence gripped everyone's hearts. Then, a thunderous boom erupted in the sky, and the black vortex expanded violently, scattering the surrounding light bands. These ribbons were strewn about outside the vortex, looking at first glance like a formation encircling it.

While Lu Yi and the others looked up, waiting to see what would happen next, a black dot plummeted rapidly from the vortex. With a deafening roar, the ground shook violently, and a powerful shockwave blew over two of the road barriers.

Lu Yi stared vigilantly at the cloud of dust.

"What is that?" Shen Yixue exclaimed. The dust, which had been scattering, suddenly stopped expanding and froze in place. A moment later, the dust rapidly contracted, revealing the ground perfectly intact. Simultaneously, a figure with gray skin, white hair, and strange markings on their face appeared in their field of vision.

The figure looked up, scanned the three of them, and finally fixed their gaze on Lu Yi.

Lu Yi frowned. He knew it must have been the aura he carried from slaying the previous keeper that had attracted this one's attention. Lu Yi took a step forward and pushed his left hand out; two streams of water instantly tore through the ground, surrounding the keeper.

"This keeper has a unique ability. Let's retreat for now and observe," Lu Yi said, turning to leave.

When he looked back, he found that Shen Yixue hadn't moved; she was staring blankly at the keeper. "Lu Yi, look."

Lu Yi turned back immediately. The water screen that had just surrounded the keeper had silently transformed into individual droplets floating in mid-air.

Lu Yi’s expression changed. "What's going on? My attack was neutralized, and I didn't even notice it."

The keeper tilted their head with a hint of mockery and raised their left hand. A silver-gray rectangular frame swept directly over Lu Yi and the others.

Lu Yi was alarmed. What kind of ability was this? He immediately checked his body but found nothing amiss.

Yuchan tugged at Lu Yi’s clothes. "Good person, look."

Lu Yi looked back and saw that the road barriers he had set up had completely vanished after the rectangle swept past, and the area had returned to its original state.

*Could it be!* Lu Yi’s expression shifted drastically as he realized a possibility. He turned to look at the keeper. As expected, the water droplets that had been floating in the air didn't fall to the ground; they simply vanished, as if they had never been there at all.

It was as if time had been reversed. With a grim face, Lu Yi waved his right hand, and a massive cloud of water mist enveloped the keeper.

"Go, go, go!" Lu Yi growled. This keeper's ability was too bizarre. Engaging in an unknown fight would not only increase the keeper's strength but was also extremely dangerous.

They had only run a few steps when the scene before them became blurry, and they heard footsteps behind them.

Lu Yi’s Magic Eye emitted a faint glow. A quick sweep revealed that the scene was blurry because of fine crystals floating in the air. Soon, the world turned completely silver-gray. Lu Yi could no longer see Shen Yixue or Yuchan, who were only two meters away. He kept running forward until he suddenly felt like he had bumped into someone.

Only Shen Yixue and Yuchan were in front of him. Lu Yi instinctively grabbed the person's arm, and by the clothing, he determined it was Shen Yixue. "What's wrong? Run!" Lu Yi said anxiously.

He then keenly realized that his voice was being absorbed by the crystals the moment he spoke.

Shen Yixue grabbed Lu Yi with panicked hands. She opened her mouth, but Lu Yi couldn't hear a sound.

"Shen Yixue, use the team channel," Lu Yi said, pulling her along while glancing back.

"Lu Yi, it’s pitch black in front of me. I can’t see anything," Shen Yixue’s voice sounded panicked. She gripped his arm tightly.

"What?" Lu Yi was stunned. How could she suddenly be unable to see anything? Although his view was silver-gray and limited, it was definitely not "pitch black" as she described.

*Wait.* Lu Yi realized he had been keeping his Magic Eye active, but Shen Yixue did not possess it. He closed his left eye, and his vision immediately plunged into darkness.

Lu Yi’s heart skipped a beat. He opened his left eye again, and the silver-gray world returned. This crystal haze caused blindness!

"It's okay. Shen Yixue, I will get you out," Lu Yi said over the team channel, then continued to run with her.

"Mm." Shen Yixue nodded and gripped his arm tighter.

"Yuchan, how are you? Can you see anything?" Lu Yi asked.

"Good person, I ran out with my eyes closed. I’m next to a shop now," Yuchan replied quickly.

*Ran out?* Yuchan had run with them. If she had made it out, they should have been close too.

"Yuchan, how did you do it?" Lu Yi asked urgently.

"I just put my head down and ran," Yuchan answered matter-of-factly, then added, "Good person, you’re still inside. Do you want me to come find you? But I think going back is a bit dangerous."

*Dangerous?* Lu Yi recalled Yuchan dodging the keeper's attack with her back turned. Could Yuchan sense danger, causing her to instinctively take measures to escape the crystal haze? That would explain how she had survived in the Foggy City despite her simple nature.

"Don't come back," Lu Yi said quickly. "Yuchan, find a high place where you can see the fog and help me observe it. Stay safe."

"Good person, you’re asking for my help? Okay, I’ll watch closely!" Judging by her voice, she seemed happy to be of help.

"Ah!" Shen Yixue screamed over the team channel. Lu Yi felt her pace falter, and they tugged against each other. Shen Yixue clearly didn't have Lu Yi’s physique; she stumbled under the tension.

Lu Yi quickly reached out and pulled her into his arms. Shen Yixue was terrified; she fumbled until she regained her grip on his arm. "Lu Yi, where are we? How long have we been running?"

Lu Yi understood her state. When people lose their sight, their sense of direction falters, and a feeling of insecurity sets in. Even though he was holding her, the fear of blindness was disrupting her movements.

Lu Yi picked Shen Yixue up and said on the team channel, "Shen Yixue, don't panic. Hold on to me. Trust me, leave everything to me, and I’ll get you out."

Shen Yixue paused, then wrapped her arms around his neck. At such close range, Lu Yi inspected her eyes to see how the crystal haze was causing blindness. With the help of the Magic Eye, he saw a thin layer of silver-gray crystals coating her eyeballs.

*Could it be that these floating crystals attach to people's eyes, causing them to lose sight? If I remove them, will her vision return?*

Lu Yi decided to try once they were out; he couldn't let her remain blind. Just then, he felt something slip from his ear—it was their wireless headset. Lu Yi’s expression changed. He realized he hadn't heard the livestream comments for a while. At the same time, his tongue felt numb.

Lu Yi’s heart tightened. "Yuchan, I’m taking some of your food." After getting her consent, he took out two candies.

"Shen Yixue, open your mouth." Lu Yi quickly tossed the candies into their mouths. No taste. Absolutely no taste.

"Shen Yixue, can you taste anything?" Lu Yi asked urgently.

"Lu Yi, what are you feeding me at a time like this?" Shen Yixue asked, confused.

Lu Yi took a few deep breaths. Fortunately, he could still smell. This meant Shen Yixue had lost her sight, hearing, and sense of taste. Lu Yi was only retaining his sight because of the Magic Eye. If this continued, who knew what other senses they would lose?

"Good person, I see that cloud of fog," Yuchan’s voice sounded on the channel again.

"Yuchan, are you safe? What do the fog and the keeper look like from your perspective?" Lu Yi asked.

"Good person, I don't feel any danger. The fog is moving forward and getting bigger. That person is following behind the fog," Yuchan replied.

Her description wasn't clear, but further questioning revealed that the crystal fog was moving at a constant speed, and the keeper was walking behind it.

*The keeper is in no hurry?* Lu Yi frowned. This could only mean the crystal fog would continue to strip away their senses.

How could they escape? How did Yuchan escape? Lu Yi suddenly realized: the crystal fog moved at a constant speed, and he was currently running at a constant speed. Yuchan must have felt the danger and fled quickly—meaning her speed had exceeded their average speed.

Currently, their average speed was limited by his pace while carrying Shen Yixue. If he were to use Yuchan's method, he would have to put Shen Yixue down and push his speed to the absolute limit. Perhaps the fog would adapt to their average speed, allowing both to be saved. Of course, there was another possibility: the fog didn't take the average speed, but rather the speed of one individual. In the best case, one person would get out; in the worst, they would both be finished.
