Clusters of flame shot into the sky, while thick smoke churned incessantly.

“Sweetheart Yueyue: A dust explosion! That was pretty impressive, Streamer!”

“Sweetheart Yiyi: The Streamer was chased so miserably. He’s finally fighting back.”

“Black Phosphorus Sauce: Exactly. I never expected his first move to be so fierce.”

“Warmhearted Man: Explosions are art, and flames are warmth.”

“Phoenix: Although the explosion was quite spectacular, it would still be difficult to kill the Guardian with this alone. This Guardian is rather special—unless he is killed, this sort of damage is as good as nothing.”

“You treacherous brat! Don’t think a mere flame can destroy me!” the Guardian roared from within the blaze. “This flame—this flame! I could extinguish it with a wave of my hand.”

“Is that so? That’s wonderful. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t have been able to make up my mind.”

Lu Yi said it softly, a smile on his face. Then he placed his hand on the Tri-Phase Flying Knife Case.

“Sweetheart Yiyi: Streamer, what are you thinking? What’s so wonderful about this?”

“Sweetheart Yueyue: Streamer, what exactly are you planning to do?”

“Yandere Fairy: Teehee, it looks like the Streamer is going to personally send the Guardian into the countdown.”

“I’m a Husky: What a waste of throwing knives. What’s so good about this?”

Amid the discussion in the livestream, Lu Yi removed three throwing knives from the case. Seeing that they looked almost identical to the long blade held by the Guardian, Lu Yi could only helplessly purse his lips.

He then focused his attention on the explosion. The rounded hexagram in his left eye began to rotate slowly, and before long, Lu Yi noticed that the temperature in one particular area within the flames was dropping.

A faint curve rose at the corner of his mouth.

“Keep it up,” he whispered.

Lu Yi’s actions immediately left the viewers in the livestream baffled.

“Black Phosphorus Sauce: Streamer, hurry up and make your move! Don’t wait!”

“Yandere Fairy: Streamer, opportunity knocks but once. If you wait any longer, the Guardian will break out.”

“Break out?” Lu Yi smiled. “Hmm? The opportunity’s here.”

His expression abruptly changed. He flung the three throwing knives forward and shouted, “Three Phases, Unite!”

Then Lu Yi charged after the knives.

Seeing this, the livestream instantly exploded with comments.

“Warmhearted Man: Streamer, what are you doing?! Are you going to charge into the flames?!”

“Phoenix: Streamer, get a hold of yourself! You’re not the Guardian, who can lie unharmed in molten iron.”

“Sweetheart Yiyi: Streamer, calm down! You have nothing that can protect you from the flames or the Guardian’s attacks!”

“I’m a Husky: Streamer, stop!”

The three throwing knives rapidly converged in midair, then transformed into a single multicolored blade that shot forward.

The multicolored blade tore straight through the flames, and Lu Yi plunged in right behind it. At that very moment, a blue wave spread outward from the center of the blaze. Wherever the blue ripple passed, the surrounding raging flames vanished one after another.

“You brat, you think—” the Guardian bellowed. But before he could finish, the three throwing knives pierced straight through his core with pinpoint accuracy.

No matter how the surroundings changed, Lu Yi never slowed. Now, without the slightest hesitation, he leaped into the air and thrust his hand into the Guardian’s blue body, seizing a fragment of the shattered core. Then he passed straight through the Guardian’s body.

After flipping through the air and landing, Lu Yi immediately gripped the core tightly and raised it to his left eye. The hexagram in his eye began spinning at tremendous speed, drawing wisps of energy out of the broken core.

“Too slow,” Lu Yi thought.

He gradually increased the strength in his right hand.

“Brat, you’ve got nerve! You dare steal even my energy!” the Guardian roared. His entire body transformed into a blade of water and stabbed toward Lu Yi.

Lu Yi’s right hand trembled violently around the core. In his vision, more and more cracks spread across it. At last, the core shattered completely. At the same time, the hexagram in Lu Yi’s left eye spun even faster, and the energy within the core’s fragments was absorbed by the Demon Eye in the form of a pillar of light.

The blade of water passed straight through Lu Yi’s body.

“Drop dead!” the Guardian howled madly.

Lu Yi grunted. Feeling no further movement after the water blade pierced through him, he forced out a faint smile.

“You were a step too slow.”

As he spoke, he opened his right hand. Crystals scattered across the ground. The core, once bright and radiant, had now become dull and lifeless.

“The Guardian is in a resurrection state. Remaining time: twenty minutes.”

The Guardian’s resurrection countdown rang out in Lu Yi’s mind at precisely the right moment.

Lu Yi pulled out a healing talisman and pressed it over the wound, preparing to stand. But the instant he moved, the motion tugged at the injury. Pain contorted his face, and he had no choice but to crouch back down.

The Demon Eye did not disappoint Lu Yi. After rapidly absorbing the energy moments ago, it had already begun channeling that energy back into him. As the current flowed through his body, Lu Yi felt somewhat better, and his complexion was no longer as dreadful as before.

By then, the viewers in the livestream had also recovered from their shock.

“Sweetheart Yiyi: That was completely unexpected! You actually dared to do something like that! Truly unbelievable.”

“Sweetheart Yueyue: Streamer, what you just did was taking food straight from a tiger’s mouth.”

“I’m a Husky: Streamer, that wasn’t merely taking food from a tiger’s mouth. You were practically eating meat off the tiger itself.”

“Gold Hoarder: Who would have thought? Who would have thought? When I saw the dust explosion just now, I was excited for a moment, but then I thought the Streamer had exhausted all his tricks. I never expected him to have this objective in mind.”

“Warmhearted Man: That was incredibly dangerous. If the Guardian had taken even a little longer to extinguish the flames, the Streamer would have been buried in the sea of fire. If the Guardian had extinguished them a little sooner, he surely could have dodged the throwing knives.

“The Streamer would then have had to fight the Guardian head-on. With the Streamer’s strength, it would have ended with nothing more than a single water bullet. Yet he seized the perfect moment and did something utterly inconceivable. I’m impressed.”

“Black Phosphorus Sauce: There’s more. After the Streamer removed part of the core from the Guardian’s body, he immediately began crushing it. It was precisely because of that accurate judgment that the Guardian only had time to launch a single attack.

“If the Streamer hadn’t begun by trying to crush the core, and had only decided to do so after realizing that the energy was being extracted too slowly, then the Guardian would definitely have had time to attack once or twice more. The Streamer would have been certain to die.

“Streamer, just what is the origin of your left eye?”

“Minister of Ink: This was the first time the Streamer had faced this Guardian since instantly killing him before.

“Confronted with a Guardian possessing countless methods, the Streamer’s ability to react on the spot was truly astonishing. With no real options available, he still managed to find a perilous path—and complete it.

“Of course, I’m also very curious about the origin of the Streamer’s left eye. Moreover, I noticed that he hesitated before taking action, which clearly means he himself does not fully understand the eye’s abilities. Fortunately, things seem to have developed in accordance with his expectations.”

“Minister of Ink sent the Streamer, Lu Yi, ten Bone Demon Steeds.”

“Phoenix: Lu Yi is still Lu Yi. He never fails to bring me a fresh surprise.”

“Phoenix sent the Streamer, Lu Yi, three evening gowns.”

“Sweetheart Yiyi sent the Streamer, Lu Yi, twenty wishing bottles.”

Amid the flood of comments and gifts filling the screen, the popularity of Lu Yi’s livestream rose once again.
